The kindergarten students learned about the famous artist Andy Warhol. They learned that his style of art was called Pop Art. They received a piece of paper with four equal sized squares. Using watercolor they painted each square( being careful to stay in the lines) a different bright color. Every student put a different colored handprint in each box. Lastly, they used black tempera paint to put a handprint over each colored handprint. Creating their own version of Pop Art.

The 2nd grade students created birch trees. They focused on overlapping the trees. Black oil pastels were used to outline the trees. Then the students added a variety of colors to the tree bark, again using oil pastels. They had to choose to paint the background with watercolor either using cool or warm colors.
The first grade students used model magic to create a frog. They separated their clay into two sections. They used one to create a ball for the body of the frog. The second section of clay was used to create the frogs feet and eyes. The students then were given green model magic to create a lily pad. The frogs were painted and glued to their lily pad after they dried.
