The Adventures in Art students painted a piece of watercolor paper using the wet on wet technique. Circles were then hole punched from the dried paper. Each student glued their favorite circles in rows onto a piece of white paper. Each circle was unique with interesting color combinations.

The first and second grade students in my after school art class made paper mache crayons, pencils and colored pencils. They used paper towel rolls, paper and tape to create the shape then covered it with newspaper and paper mache. They then painted their sculptures with acrylic paint.
The students in Adventures in Art were each given a canvas and using acrylic paint created a painting choosing their own subject matter.
The Adventure in Art class students created hot air balloons using paper mache. They then painted them with acrylic paint. They wove a cup with yarn for the basket, which was attached to their balloon.
A few more projects we did in Adventures in art involved working with clay, yarn and shaving cream. The students used their imagination and creativity to make a variety of sculptures. They also made clay looms that they were able to weave on. Shaving cream and liquid watercolor were used to marbleize paper.
