Every year our school holds an amazing auction. Each grade creates a collaborative piece of art to be auctioned off. The pieces turned out beautiful. Each preschool student painted on watercolor paper, which was cut out with a circle hole punch. Each kindergarten student placed a fingerprint on the canvas to create a dandelion. First grade students placed circle stampers with paint on a tree that were turned into birds. Second grade also painted with watercolor on paper, which was cut into hearts and placed on a tree as leaves. Third grade each designed a ladybug. Fourth grade finger painted specific color schemes that were cut into ovals then were glued into the shape of pineapples. Fifth grade each painted a building from the Chicago Skyline. Sixth grade used oil pastels to create brightly colored sea turtles. Seventh grade zentangled butterflies then painted them with watercolor. Eighth grade each added string to nail art to create a Chicago Cubs sign. Each project turned out so well thanks to the hard work of the students and parent volunteers.
