The 4th grade students learned about Picasso and his blue period. They looked at his painting The Old Guitarist. We then discussed how to make something look abstract. They practiced drawing a cubist, distorted and elongated guitar. They then created their final guitar on a large piece of paper. They used different shades of blue to paint their guitars. The students came up with really interesting shaped guitars!

The preschool students colored on dippity dye paper with different shades of green marker. They then sprayed the paper with a water bottle creating a tie dye effect.
They also glued a pre-cut pot of gold onto their paper. Using paint they added their finger prints to create a rainbow. The finishing touch was adding gold glitter.
